Plaza Days

Client: DC Shoes + Precinct Skate Store

Location: Home of the Arts, Gold Coast. QLD | 2021

To celebrate the annual event, Concrete Culture, Kingswood Creative was asked by HOTA (Home of the Arts) to design and present a skate park in the heart of HOTAs Arts Precinct. With some help from DC shoes and Precinct skate store, we were tasked with creating an event based around core skateboarding. The event would encourage all ages to participate and showcase the street skating culture to the masses.

The newly built amphitheater was transformed into a pop-up skate plaza layered with temporary ledges, kickers, out ledges and banks setting the scene for an invitational jam session that saw skaters from all over the country taking cash-for-tricks before the main event, which was down the three-block with a beach themed rail.
