About the project:
adidas skate Copa classics was held at RMIT’s basketball courts in Melbourne with the creative brief to conceptualise and recreate a number of Melbourne’s most iconic obstacles. Kingswood Creative designed and fabricated particular obstacles along with event delivery in collaboration with key retail, media and brand stakeholders.
From the famous Docklands numbers, the yellow peril and inner city curb cut, to the Sail yards banks and a City of Melbourne 1200kg tram barrier crane truck installation.
The open session and cash for tricks comp played host to over 150 local skaters and adidas team riders including Mike Arnold, Magnus Bordewick, Maite Steenhoudt, Gustav Tonnesen, Kai Kishi, Kotora Mitani and Laurence Keefe, along wit the AUS/NZ team riders Dennis Durrant, Tom Snape, Gabriel Summers and Brad Saunders and Juzzy Reid.
