About the project:
Volcom hosted an all time party at Pink Hotel in Coolangatta for the brands Truly Defined campaign launch and it was definitely a sight to behold. Taking over the nostalgic Pink Hotel Coolangatta venue, the event hosted some of the Volcom team skaters destroying the custom made rooftop mini-ramp and along with stellar live sets from Crum, Blister, Ezra Lee, and Hell & Whiskey.
It had all the ingredients of a 1970’s surf side house party with room to room activations including a secret janitors closet, karaoke room, tote making and band rooms backed up with brews from Young Henrys to compliment Eddies Grub House sliders amidst the Gold Coast sunshine.
Challenged with building a halfpipe to be installed on a rooftop to assist a memorable experience Kingswood designed, fabricated and installed a custom quick clasp halfpipe that was craned onto the venue rooftop along with multiple signage pieces, a custom netting system to safeguard the activation and its visitors for what was a heavy experience.
With over #1500 visitors to the site throughout the day we were able to amplify the brands aesthetic reach through key brand pieces captured on social media via video, photos, social tags, shares along with athlete and influencer experiences.
